1. In the cell phone resides an application that tries to maintain the connection to the server for information communication. This application resolves the great majority of incidences that emerge in the network (no availability of the network, incidences of communication, connection problems, missing coverage).

When there is some informaton to be communicated from the company to the user of a cell phone, the application that resides in the cell phone tries, in time intervals, to download all information directed to the user (PUSH). In contrast to WAP or only-server that don't signal that that information is available for the user and must be complemented with other technologies like SMS what gives rise to certain difficulties in support and maintenance of those applications.
   
3. With WAP or only-server technologies it is very simple to define applications and functionalities that are accessed via a device using an explorer-navigator.
